Stumbling

We stumble because we are walking according to the woulda, shoulda, coulda dones, the what I should do-s.

I should be a good Christian, good brother, good wife, ….

It takes no faith to try to live 613 external laws perfectly. But, don’t try – you’ll drop the balls! Additionally, “the law is not of faith: but, The man who does them shall live in them.” Galatians 3:12

Anything faithless is Godless.

“Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draws back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

“(30) What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith.  (31) But Israel, who followed the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.  (32) Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. They stumbled at that stumbling stone;  (33) As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.”  Rom 9:30-33

Walk by the indwelling Godhead and live.

Walk by an external law and find sin and death-this is the lesson of Romans 7. That’s why we had to die to law (verse 4).
