Hooked on a Feeling

Feelings.

Do you trust them?

We are all greatly impacted by feelings.

What happens when you don’t feel like doing something?

When you cannot generate what’s needed to overcome temptation or to break a stronghold?

Only desperation or resignation.

Somehow you’re expected to self-generate this determination.

If there was no God, this would be true.

But, in the real world with its foundation in God, such expectation is misplaced.

The answer?

Someone Who can be totally trusted, even with His feelings.

We have been taught that we have the ‘mind of Christ’ and ‘an ability you have received, [things]’ when the real answer is that we have received the indwelling Godhead.

God has revealed the preeminence of Christ in you.

Christ in you and you in Him is the living example of God and you, one together.

Is it a problem that you cannot generate the desire, discipline, or determination to do something?

Not for Him.

The truth is that none of us has what He wants, thinks like He does, or safely feels, apart from Him.

If you are unwilling in some aspect of your life with Him, does your unwillingness stymie Him?

Your unwillingness is perfectly normal, because the answer is not found in you.

He has no expectation of ‘just you.’

The Answer is He, Who has made Himself one with you through Christ.

“The one who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” 1 Corinthians 6:17

You are no longer alone, just you.

You have been redefined in Him!

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; no, it is not I [just me or my new self ‘I’], but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the Son of God’s faith [I live by His faith], Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

You are always to share Him with His faith, thoughts, feelings, desires, willingness, yieldedness, and obeying.

He wants you to know Him and know His provision for you in Himself.

He is your Answer.

And, He knows how to get His work done in you.
